What we deliver
Twara Technologies builds tracking systems that tell operations teams where their vehicles, equipment and goods are, what condition they are in and what has happened to them along the way. We combine the right tracking hardware for each asset with a back end that cleans and interprets location data, and with dashboards and apps that dispatchers, warehouse staff and managers can rely on. The emphasis is on decisions: fewer lost assets, faster response to delays, better use of equipment and a clear record when something goes wrong.
Typical scope
- Asset inventory and grouping by how each type moves, where it goes and how it is powered.
- Tracker selection, configuration and installation guidance for vehicles, trailers, containers, tools or returnable packaging.
- Location processing: filtering poor fixes, detecting trips and stops, and matching positions to sites and routes.
- Geofences for depots, customer sites, restricted areas and routes.
- Condition monitoring with temperature, shock, tilt, door or fuel sensors.
- Live maps, trip replay, utilisation and dwell-time reports.
- Driver or field-staff apps for proof of delivery, check-ins and exceptions.
- Integration with order, dispatch, ERP and maintenance systems.
Technologies we work with
- Positioning: GNSS receivers in vehicle trackers and asset tags; Bluetooth Low Energy beacons and gateways for yards, warehouses and indoor spaces.
- Connectivity: cellular for vehicles and assets on the move; LoRaWAN for battery-powered tags in campuses, ports or farms, where the LoRa Alliance lists mobility and localisation among the requirements the specification targets.
- Messaging and back end: MQTT or vendor-specific TCP protocols into a cloud ingestion layer, with geospatial processing in PostgreSQL with PostGIS or a cloud location service.
- Maps: mainstream mapping platforms and open map data, chosen on coverage in your operating regions, licence terms and usage cost.
- Apps: web dashboards and cross-platform or native mobile apps for drivers and field teams.
How we choose: start with the asset and the question, then pick hardware. A truck on a highway, a generator on a construction site and a pallet inside a warehouse each need different devices, update rates and connectivity.
Regulated vehicle tracking in India
Some vehicles in India must carry certified tracking devices. Odisha’s transport department, for example, states that public service vehicles, national permit vehicles and vehicles carrying hazardous goods must be fitted with AIS-140 vehicle location tracking devices and panic buttons, and that its monitoring system is integrated with the state’s emergency response system (ERSS). Where your fleet falls under such rules, we integrate with certified devices and the relevant state systems rather than replacing them; requirements vary by state, so we confirm the current position with your transport team.
How we approach it
- Define the questions. Where is it, is it safe, is it late, is it being used? Each answer leads to different hardware and rules.
- Trial devices. Test shortlisted trackers on real assets and routes, checking fix quality, battery behaviour and coverage.
- Build the core. Ingestion, location processing, the live map and the first alert rules.
- Pilot with real users. Dispatchers and field teams use the system on a subset of the fleet; we refine rules and screens from their feedback.
- Roll out. Installation guides, provisioning in batches and training.
- Improve. Utilisation reports, route analysis and integration with planning systems once reliable history builds up.
Security, privacy and quality
- Location data linked to drivers or staff is personal data. We design for the principles set out alongside the DPDP Rules, 2025, including purpose limitation, data minimisation and storage limitation, with options such as private-time modes and role-based access to history.
- Trackers get unique credentials; default passwords are changed or disabled, in line with ETSI EN 303 645, whose first provision is no universal default passwords.
- Commands that affect vehicles, such as immobilisation, are restricted, logged and require explicit confirmation.
- Quality checks compare reported positions with known routes and sites, and test behaviour during coverage gaps and device restarts.
Engagement options
- Tracking assessment and device trial: a focused exercise to pick hardware and prove coverage.
- Tracking platform build: back end, dashboards and apps delivered end to end.
- Integration project: bring existing trackers and telematics feeds into one view.
- Ongoing support: device fleet monitoring, updates and new reports as needs grow.
